
Guest Houses and Cemetery Committee

The Guest Houses Committee is responsible for the promotion of the guest houses and ranches owned by The J. M. Burguières Co., Limited. The guest houses include the Cypremort House in Louisa, Louisiana, and the McGill House and Ranches in Alpine, Texas.
Cherie Ducey Gilbert (Patout) is the JMB Family Council contact for the Guest Houses Committee. She is the daughter of Marie Corinne Burguieres Ducey and Cornelius Thomas Ducey, Sr., and the granddaughter of Charles Patout and Lilla Withnell Burguières.
Cherie visits the Cypremort House, at the least, yearly, and informs the Family Council of all noteworthy topics related to the property including wildlife, maintenance, and upcoming events.
In 2023, Cherie made her first visit to the McGill Ranch in Alpine, TX. She plans on a yearly visit to update the JMB Family Council and the shareholders.
Cherie resides in Panama City, Panama. She has two children, Shea and Cori who are 5th generation descendants of Jules Martial Burguières.

Molly Ducey Dale (Patout) will join Cherie Ducey Gilbert on the Guest Houses Committee. She is the daughter of Barbara and Tom Ducey, Jr., and the granddaughter of Marie Corinne Burguières Ducey and Cornelius (Neal) Ducey, Sr. In addition, Molly is the great-granddaughter of Lilla Withnell and Charles Patout Burguières.
Molly lives in Atlanta, GA with her husband, Brandon Dale, and their two children, Grace and Brady who are 6th generation descendants of Jules Martial Burguières.
Michele Pollingue Reed (Patout) resigned from the JMB Family Council Guest Houses Committee in January 2024, and she has served the Family Council for many years in a variety of positions. We wish Michele all the best in her endeavors, and we have no doubt she will continue to serve the Family, as her husband, Kevin Reed was elected to the JMB Board of Directors in 2024.
Michele is the daughter of Barat Burguieres Pollingue and O’Neill L. Pollingue, Jr MD, and the granddaughter of Charles Patout and Lilla Burguieres. Michele visits the Cypremort House, often, and informs the Family Council of all noteworthy topics related to the property including wildlife, maintenance, and upcoming events.
Michele resides in Metairie, LA with her husband, Kevin Reed. Michele and Kevin have two daughters, Caroline Reed McNeal and Elizabeth Reed, who are 5th generation shareholders.

The Cemetery Committee is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of family cemeteries and gravesites.
Leila Bristow Hines (Ernest) is the JMB Family Council contact for The Cemetery Committee as well as the JMB Family Historian contact.
For many years, Leila has completed vast studies into our families' history thru travel and genealogical studies, and continues her research to this day. She has served as the past Chair of the Family Council, and continues to be a vast resource of historical and genealogical information for us, all.
Currently, Leila is focusing on the restoration of antiquated graves located in the St. Helen's Cemetery located in Louisa, LA, as well as other gravesites located in a variety of cemeteries. She works, closely, with Lanny Pichoff who is the Facebook administrator for the St. Helen's Cemetery Group. Many death records are posted, old obituaries, and discussions among family members are held on this FB Group, too.
Holly Vogel, Member-at-Large (Henry) has joined Leila on the Cemetery Committee. Holly Vogel is the daughter of O.J. Reiss, III and Sally Reiss. Holly is the mother of Grace Vogel Beard and Ross Vogel.
Recently, Holly went to the St. Helen's Church in Franklin, La. She saw the original Statue of Jesus needed cleaning, and is in need of painting, too. The statue has been pressure washed, and will be repainted, soon.

Committee activities include:
- Marketing the usage of the guest houses.
- Conducting surveys about the properties.
- Forming a non-profit (501C3) status for the landscaping of the Cypremort House. All contributions would be tax-deductible.
- Creating a Cypremort House Guest House Book.
- Working on a highway marker to honor St. Helen's Cemetery.
- Repairing and maintaining gravestones.
