To encourage and facilitate the unity, trust and friendship of all Family Assembly members through planned activities that are both educational and fun.

Past committee activities include:

  • Developing opportunities for family members to gather each year, such as:
    • Annual Family Assembly Meetings held at Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans, LA
    • The Blessing of the Azaleas, Installation of Mary's statue, and a Retirement Party for Glenn Vice, CEO (2022)
    • Barbeque and family picnic at the grand estate of Susanne Cambre Dwyer (Denis) and Fred Dwyer in Mandeville, LA. (2020)
    • JMB Ribbon Cutting of the new Environmental Office located in Lafayette, LA (2019)
    • 140 Years in Business - A Family Celebration at Cypremort House (2017)
    • Regional "Road Shows" to meet with family members across the country (2011)
    • A visit to Columbus, Mississippi for the beautiful antebellum tour, outdoor dinner, and musical entertainment at the residence better known as, "White Arches," which is owned and has been restored by Dick (Patout) and JoAnne Leike (2010).
    • The Blessing, Restoration and Rededication of Cypremort House (2009)
    • The New Orleans Riverboat Cruise on the Natchez (2007)
    • Opening Celebration of the Franklin Office of The J. M. Burguières, Co., Limited (2006)
  • Enhancing the Annual Family Assembly meeting with social activities.
  • Supporting the other committees when they host an event (example: HEP).
