Ally Burguières, daughter of Janice and Dr. Tom Burguières, Henry Branch, released her second book, When in Doubt, Play Dead: Life Advice from an Unexpected Source in October 2023. Now, in its second printing, Ally was a featured guest on Fox 8's popular mid-day show, NOLA Now, in February 2024.
Ally owns and operates 2 French Quarter galleries in New Orleans devoted to her work which is driven by her lifelong love of animals, and her dedication to animal welfare causes. Cocoally, named after her Chihuahua, Coco, is home to Ally's illustrations, wearable art and accessories. Her link to her website is Cocoally Vegan Boutique.

Ally spoke about the lives and wisdom of oppossums, and her latest book, too. This book follows her 2021 release of Possums are not Cute! Both books are available at most local bookstores, and on amazon.com
