2024 Julia Lathrop Publishes Her First Book!

Patout Branch
Julia Lathrop, daughter of Pratt and Heidi Lathrop (Patout Branch), has published her first book, The Treasure of Richard Julius Maximus III which features the adventures of 2, pre-teen girls who follow clues to solve a dangerous mystery. The book is 38 pages in length complete with illustrations.
Julia, 11 years old, is a prolific writer, and became interested in writing when her parents read to her and her younger sister, Vivienne, from birth.
Julia has attended 2 summer, Young Author’s Camps at Texas A & M University in Corpus Christi, and will attend a third Young Author's Camp, soon. She is an active sixth grader who likes mysteries, swimming, ballet, video games, baking, and, of course, reading. In addition, Julia has completed Junior Life Guard Training, too!
Her grandfather, James Randolph Lathrop, agreed to find a publisher if she wrote a truly, readable book. Impressed with Julia's story, he helped her search literary agents. Likewise, the agent liked her story and agreed to the publication.

Julia’s family is proud of her tenacity, diligence, creativity, and yes, her successful publication as editing, illustrating, and learning the publishing process absorbed much of Julia’s limited, available time. Her school principal and teachers supported and encouraged her throughout the process.
Julia had a signing ceremony during the St. Patrick School's annual, fund raising event at which Julia donated all proceeds of the sales of her book to the school!
When asked if she plans to write another book, she responded, “I, already, have many ideas—I’m, so, writing more!”
